Tribe Implements Temporary Covid-19 Procedures

The Tribe’s Emergency Preparedness Office wanted to provide an update on the re-entry planning for this week following last week’s operations side of the Community & Government Center closure and deep clean. 

All MWT personnel has undergone a PCR Covid test with a requirement of a negative test before returning back to the worksite.  The MWT Personnel COVID Testing Standard Operating Procedure has been implemented as well and distributed to all personnel.  The Community & Government Center and Farm property have also been deep cleaned with the air duct system in the facility disinfected as well. 

The official re-entry date and time for MWT personnel was Monday, December, 20th 2021 – 8:30 AM.   

As a result of the current Covid surge, there have been some temporary mandates that have taken effect as of; Monday, December, 20th 2021 -8:30 AM.  Please see below.

  • In-Person Meetings; Commission/Committee/Council – Temporarily on hold due to Covid Surge (tentatively in place Jan 1, 2022)

  • Clients/Public in Facility: Temporarily on hold due to Covid surge (tentatively in place Jan 1 2022)

  • In door Group Gatherings: Temporarily on hold due to Covid surge

During this time of increased Covid community transmission and higher county percentage levels, while entering into the Christmas Holiday and New Year, we must ensure to take the public health safety guidelines that are in place as serious as possible. 

Please be sure to continue in practicing the Covid safety standards that are in place in an effort to prevent infection and reduce the risk of transmission; practice good hand hygiene, cover mouth and nose with a mask when in a public setting, stay home if feeling unwell and getting tested with symptoms and physical distancing by avoiding large groups of people.
