KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Rep. Sharice Davids (KS-03) has announced that she will open a Wyandotte County office in downtown Kansas City. The new office will be in the Brotherhood Building at 7th and Minnesota and will be accessible by public transportation, with a bus stop nearby.

Davids promised on her campaign that she would re-open a constituent services office in Wyandotte County. There hasn’t been a 3rd District Congressional constituent services office in WyCo for the last several years since Rep. Dennis Moore had an office in Kansas City, Kansas.

“My team and I are committed to being an active and present part of the Wyandotte County community and we’re excited to establish an easily accessible presence here,” said Davids. “It’s important that I’m hearing from people from all corners of this district and I hope people from WyCo will visit us often and consider us a resource.”

Davids already has an office in Overland Park, where her predecessor had his office. Staff at both of Davids’ offices will help constituents of the Third Congressional District navigate the federal government. For example, staff may be able to help with backlogged veterans’ benefits, Social Security and Medicare issues, stalled tax refunds, passport issues, and more. Examples of federal agencies the office will work with include the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Small Business Administration (SBA), The Department of Defense (DOD), and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Davids and her staff will work diligently to help constituents cut through red tape and get responses and resolutions to their concerns.

More information on an opening date for the Kansas City office is forthcoming.
