Treasury Rental Assistance Now Available
The U.S. Department of the Treasury Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA1) program under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, will provide rental assistance to tribal households at or below 80% of the area median income. This program is first-come, first-served while funding is available or until December 29, 2022. Eligible applicants must live in the Tribe’s service area.
The program provides a maximum monthly payment to the landlord of $500 per month for three months. There is a maximum amount that may pay arrears of $3,000, and the maximum amount for moving or move-in expenses is $3,000.
