One-day procurement training event will take place in South Portland on June 20th
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (the National Center) will host a Native Edge Institute on June 20th in South Portland, Maine. NEI Maine, facilitated by GovContractPros, will provide both growing and advanced government contractors with training in federal and corporate small business programs, including how firms can leverage those programs to enter the supply chain of larger prime contractors. The NEI will also focus on international business.
Following successful NEIs west of the Mississippi and in the South, this is the second NEI in the Northeast and ninth overall over the last calendar year. The Native Edge Institutes are made possible with support from the Key Bank Foundation and a recent grant from the Minority Business Development Agency at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Clear Cloud Solutions and ArcticIT are also collaborating on the event.
“The Native Edge Institutes are providing valuable training to Native American and Alaska Native entrepreneurs from Anchorage, Alaska to Portland, Maine,” said Chris James, President and CEO of the National Center. “I encourage New Englanders with an interest in government contracting, international business, and mentorship opportunities to join us in South Portland on June 20th.”
