Message from the Chairman: Protecting Your Aboriginal Rights

Wunee Keesuq Tribal Family,

The tribe has received notice that signage has been placed up by property owners at Oregon Rd., Bailey Rd., and Vineyard Rd. in Cotuit next to Oregon Beach.

The signage indicates that cars parking on those roads will be towed after today, May 15th. We have reached out to the property owners to both educate them regarding aboriginal rights and to try to resolve the issue.

We want to assure you that the legal team is working to ensure that your rights are protected and that you are not harassed in the exercise of your aboriginal rights.
