Clean Water Vote at Mashpee Town Meeting: Monday, May 1 at 6:30 PM

Tribal Members are being urged to attend the Mashpee Town Meeting this evening (Monday, May 1) to support several petition articles (27, 36 & 37) that will protect our water – rivers, bays and estuaries that are on the brink of dying due to over development in the town. The meeting is held at the Mashpee High School at 6:30 PM.

These water protection articles are not the final fix, but certainly are a step forward in the right direction.

There is a campaign underway by special interest groups to vote the articles down. Mashpee needs real, common-sense solutions to the water crisis. Concerned members of the town and tribe are now holding signs at the Mashpee rotary and will continue throughout the day. Please consider showing support by holding a sign and attending the town meeting to protect our water this evening.
