Call for Artwork from Young American Indian Artists

Published January 3, 2019

NORMAN, Okla. — American Indian artists age 18 and under are invited to submit their original artwork for consideration for use by the Native Crossroads Film Festival. Artists should reside in the state of Oklahoma.

This year’s theme is “Futures.” Young artists are asked to explore what “Futures” means to them and be creative in their execution. One winner will be selected for use on the 2019 poster. Other pieces may be selected to be featured on the Native Crossroads Film Festival website, program and promotional materials.

Only a photo or image is needed. Original artwork is not required, but may be requested if selected. Submissions should be high-quality with a minimum of 16-megapixels for photos or 600 DPI for images.

Submissions should be emailed to native.crossroads@ou.edu by 5 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2019. If the file is too large, artists may provide a link to a large-file transfer cloud service.

The selected artist will receive a $250 honorarium.
