YUMA, Ariz. — Each year, the Cocopah Indian Tribe sponsors the Matador Athletic Association at Arizona Western College which provides athletic scholarships to young men and women.

Arizona Western College Sports Information Director Tim SlackSlack presented the award Wednesday night during the half time break as the Matadors faced off against the South Mountain Cougars in men’s basketball.
