The Native Edge Institute Moves North to Niagara Falls

One-day procurement and government contracting overview will take place on May 2 at the Seneca Nation of Indians Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, NY

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (the National Center) is pleased to join forces with Seneca Nation to host a Native Edge Institute (NEI) training in Niagara Falls, New York on May 2nd, 2019. NEI New York, facilitated by GovContractPros, will provide both growing and advanced government contractors with training in federal and corporate small business programs, including how firms can leverage those programs to enter the supply chain of larger prime contractors. The NEI will also focus on new technology and the benefits of equipping a business with the latest advancements.

Following successful NEIs west of the Mississippi and in the South, this is the first NEI in the Northeast and eighth overall in less than a year. The Native Edge Institutes are made possible with support from the Key Bank Foundation and a recent grant from the Minority Business Development Agency at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Clear Cloud Solutions and ArcticIT are also collaborating on the event.

  • Leveraging the Mentor-Protege and Joint Venture programs 
  • Updates on Certifications: 8(a) Business Development, HUBZone, SDVOSB, Woman-owned including economic disadvantaged 
  • Tribal, ANC, and NHO Strategies
  • Staying small and surviving the mid-size 
  • Roundtable mentoring sessions with contracting experts and practitioners

Registration is open to the public and is only $49 per person. President Rickey L. Armstrong, Sr. of the Seneca Nation will provide welcome remarks. NEI New York will also feature a success story of an 8(a) enterprise and how their certification and joint venture has benefitted them and how they managed through the process.
