American Indians in Opposition of “Concentration Camp” at Fort Sill

Published July 19, 2019

LAWTON, Okla. — On July 20, immigrant leaders and allies will visit Lawton, Oklahoma to further expose and demand to close the concentration camps that ICE and CBP have built all across the country.

Oklahoma has not only been a place where deportation agents keep immigrants and refugees in torturous inhumane conditions, but has also been the place where Japanese Americans were detained during World War II. Camps like these have also been used to incarcerate and contain American Indians and African America communities, and they are a tool of white supremacy to dehumanize people of color

Buses will be at 3000 United Founders Blvd., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112 at 8 a.m. if you need transportation!

Breakfast will be provided, and we leave for Lawton at 8:45 a.m.

If you’re in Lawton, meet at 2999 NW Sheridan Rd, Lawton, Oklahoma 73505 at 11 a.m.
